Go to Music Between the Numbers for the Details
As part of my music education and work at andyjaskemusic.com, I dived into building a database of quantitative information on how the Billboard Top 10 has changed in quantitatively measurable ways over time. This is neatly summarized by our Music Old School Score - or MOSS (something the Rolling Stones don't gather.)
Visit the Music Between the Numbers page for more detail and informative videos.
Our informative maps (above) track the spread by state by week through time from March 2020 through August 2021. These maps are adjusted by population and color-calibrated into meaningful, consistent categories to better isolate where problems are occurring and to help visually identify the trend in the data. The national weekly trend in cases and deaths is also tracked on our COVID19 page. Using weekly data helps provide more meaningful and understandable trends - superior to the rolling average data published by many sources.
Seattle Analytics State Forecast model is available and is incorporated into an Excel-based software that allows scenario analysis. The model relies on employment industry mix and associated assumptions to allow variability across areas. It consists of both national and regional level regression equations with an extensive variety of other calculations to arrive at the results and produces forecasts through 2030 for 54 US and state level series. You can change scenarios by modifying the US drivers for GDP and unemployment rates - this generates a revised US forecast and new forecasts for many of the variables for all 50 states plus DC.
If you would like access to the latest version of this model and would like to test the scenario capability, please contact us.
