Andrew Jaske has been providing economic and risk model development and review services for nearly 40 years. He recently retired from his position as SVP of Model Risk Management at PNC Bank and is now providing the state forecasts as well as risk and economic consulting services. Prior employers include Chase/WaMu, KPMG, Freddie Mac, and Citi. Dr. Jaske has done extensive consulting work for the majority of the Top 10 banks in the US. Both model development and validation services are available.
Areas of modeling expertise include most retail products with a long term emphasis on mortgages, but also heavy exposure to auto, credit card, and other unsecured credit. Types of models include loss forecasting (PD, EAD, and LGD), stress testing, credit scoring, other credit decisioning and pricing, revenue forecasting (such as PPNR) and regional economic forecasting (obviously, given the state forecasts). He has both managed large teams of modelers and model validation experts.
Besides traditional econometric modeling, Dr. Jaske is familiar with machine learning approaches such as gradient boosting, random forest, and neural nets and can help you determine where such approaches might be most (and least) applicable.
Dr. Jaske holds a PhD in Business Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is also a proud Summa Cum Laude graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. He resides in Port Orchard, WA with his wife Donna and his two grown children also reside in Washington state.
If you have an interest in consulting services or questions about the forecasts or other material on the site, don't hesitate to contact us.
